The new Lexus LX 600 combines luxury features with classic off-road performance. For those who just need to own a version of the new Land Cruiser, codenamed J300, there is an option. The underlying platform houses a more luxurious all-rounder, the all-new Lexus LX 600. The Lexus LX, a redesigned version of the Land Crusher, seems almost certain to still be sold in the United States in the future, thankfully.

All suspension and off-road technical upgrades were reportedly put to the test by both Toyota engineers and professional drivers from the company's Dakar Rally team. Toyota has not yet provided these figures, but it does say that the outer dimensions and the approach and departure angles are the same as those of the previous model, despite the new style. Toyota only builds the land cruiser in two factories and cannot expand it either, so global supply is limited and the company expects the new model to be very popular abroad. We expect information on the next-generation LX to be announced later this year, now that the Land Cruiser 300 series has finally been introduced.

In global markets, the Land Cruiser has also long been offered with diesel engines, and this generation will have a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 diesel with 304 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque available. Toyota says features such as headlights and taillights were deliberately mounted as high as possible, making them less likely to be damaged off-road. You could see that the new GX inclines even more towards off-road capability and becomes the smallest and cheapest Land Cruiser option that many in the United States have long wanted. In any case, Toyota points out that the engine and transmission are 2.8 inches further behind and 1.1 inches lower in the new SUV compared to the previous one.

In addition, Toyota repositioned the driver's seat to make it easier to drive the latest Land Cruiser and reduce driver fatigue. It is smaller, substantially cheaper and generally outsells the aforementioned Land Cruisers four times in the United States. The body of the new Land Cruiser, which we have seen in previously leaked images, has more blocks and a larger grille, but it has clearly evolved compared to the previous model. This would make the new Land Cruiser 194.9 inches long, 77.9 inches wide and 74.0 inches tall with an approach angle of 32 degrees and a departure angle of 24 degrees.

We suspect that the Lexus would be launched with a gasoline engine, perhaps the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 and more than 400 horsepower that comes with the new Land Cruiser.
